Halina Krzyzanowska
Visiting Postdoc
Halina Krzyzanowska is a Fellow of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland. While visiting the United States, she is working primarily with Silicon nanostructural systems for optoelectronic applications. Halina received her PhD from Maria Curie-Sklodowska University, Lublin, Poland, where she also teaches classes in introductory physics, introductory atomic and molecular physics, and laboratory physics. She is a member and past treasurer of the Polish Physical Society and the author of a dozen publications. |
Sudeshna Pal
Postdoc
Sudeshna Pal received her BS in Chemistry from the University of Calcutta, India in 1998; B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees in Food Technology and Biochemical Engineering from Jadavpur University, India, in 2002 and 2004, respectively; and her PhD in Biosystems Engineering from Michigan State University in 2009. Her PhD dissertation title was "Electrically-active polyaniline coated magnetic nanoparticles: a novel concentrator and nanostructured transducer in biosensor devices." She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Rochester. Her research interests include two-dimensional photonic band-gap biosensors and nanostructured transducers. |
