Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Ph.D.,UniversityofCalifornia,Berkeley, 1977

Key Words:
Optoelectronics, Ult fast Phenomena, Superconductivity

Research Interests:

My interests are in the general area of solid state electronics, covering a wide range of subjects from optoelectronics to superconductivity. Current research topics include:

  • ultrafast photodetectors and optical modulators for integrated optoelectronics;
  • development of superconducting devices and transmission structures, and the testing of these circuits in the sub-picosecond regime;
  • development of subpicosecond imaging systems.
  • Research Labs/Centers:

    •  Laboratory for Laser Energetics
    •  Superconductivity Laboratory
