Welcome

Our group is actively engaged in the research of integrated high-speed electronics and photonics, which spans several exciting fields, including radio-frequency integrated circuits (RFIC), microwave engineering, high-speed digital integrated circuits, and silicon photonics. In particular, we are focusing on the following research directions:

• Integrated circuits for low-power, wideband wireless communications, e.g., ultra-wideband (UWB) impulse radios.
• Integrated circuits for high-speed wireline communications and ultrafast instrumentation, e.g., gigahertz equalizers and arbitrary waveform generators.
• High-performance clocking in microprocessors and SoCs.
• Ultrafast electronic-photonic integrated circuits (EPIC).
• High-speed interconnect technologies.

• We are working on a new project, 3-D Intrachip Free-Space Optical Interconnects. Check out our ISCA09 workshop paper.
• Berkehan's paper on silicon photodetectors using deep n-well in standard CMOS was published in IEEE Journal of Lightwave Technology.
• Yunliang's paper on Distributed Waveform Generator was published in IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits (JSSC).
