January, 2007

We took our annual trip to California over the winter break. We began in LA with a visit to Disneyland with Grandma and Grandpa Rabiner-- the kids were in heaven! They both adore Mickey and all his friends, so getting to meet them in person was pure joy for them. Their favorite parts of Disneyland were meeting the characters, seeing where they all "live", the train around the park, It's a Small World, and, of course, the monorail. They also enjoyed the parade where they got to see all their favorties, including Cinderella, Snow White, the princes, Pooh, Tigger, and Mickey and all his friends.

While the kids spent some time in LA with their grandparents, Steve and Wendi took a trip to Joshua Tree National Park. We did lots of hiking, we rode horses and we did some rock climbing, for which Joshua Tree is famous.

After LA, we drove up to Santa Barbara and spent the day there before driving up the coast to San Fransisco to visit with some friends and relatives.

On the way up to San Fransisco, we stopped for a hike at Big Sur Park and Monterey. Then we visited with the Bennetts and Suttons in San Fransisco.

Back home in Rochester, winter finally arrived and the kids had a great time playing in all the snow!
