The department provides leadership for University-level initiatives ranging from nanotechnology and energy research to music and engineering research, and we continue to play a prominent role in ongoing programs such as the Center for Emerging & Innovative Sciences, the Music Research Lab, and the Rochester Center for Biomedical Ultrasound.
