REU Y2 Concludes

This summer, we welcomed the second cohort of students from the National Science Foundation-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates program “Imaging in Medicine and Biology for Underrepresented Minorities.” 11 students from institutions across the country worked on research projects with nine UR faculty members. Led by our own department chair, Professor Marvin Doyley (pictured, top right) along with Professor Jiebo Luo (Computer Science), this was an important opportunity for students from underrepresented groups to study crucial questions in the field of medical imaging. We look forward to hosting the third cohort in the summer of 2024.
